One of the Labor Party’s most powerful and influential figures, Tim Jacobson, has quit the party’s election campaign committee. Mr Jacobson, the secretary of the Health and Community Services Union, did not attend a meeting of the campaign committee in the South on Friday. He resigned from the committee – made up of about a dozen people – just before Christmas.
