A rough twelve months has ended in the indefinite closure of the Tarkine Animal Park. The Stanley tourism venture was set up mid-2019 by Crighton Horton and Ingrid Oosting, but was unable to reopen after being forced to close by the pandemic. The couple had intended to reopen late last year, but minor council compliance issues delayed their reopening and then in recent weeks the international owners of the property decided to not renew their lease.
