One minor slip-up from his opponent was all Kody Steers needed to win another state title on Sunday. The Sheffield axeman took out the Tasmanian 325mm underhand championship at the Devonport Regatta, defeating defending champion Josh Bakes by the barest of margins. As the pair went blow for blow in the final stages, it appeared Bakes had won as his axe broke through the log.
